The 测试中心s have joined forces with the DSST™ Program to provide you with a cost effective, time saving way to use your experience, skills and knowledge gained outside of the conventional classroom to achieve your educational goals and objectives.

DSST™的目的

The DSST™ is a useful and efficient way to provide your institution with proof of prior learning. Whether you are a new or existing student, you will find there are many advantages to taking the DSST™, 包括:

According to DSST™, there are other reasons why you should consider taking a DSST™ exam:

• DSST™ complements and can be used in conjunction with CLEP®
• The DSST™ program is funded for military active duty and spouses

Cost for Taking the DSST™

Finding Out Your College’s DSST™ Policy

Once you have chosen the exams you would like to take, you will need to contact your college’s admissions office to find out their DSST™ policy. They will be able to provide you information on what DSST™ exams they accept, as well as the number of credit hours they will award.

Rowan-Cabarrus does offer course credit for many of the DSST™ exams. If you are taking a DSST™ exam for credit for a course at Rowan-Cabarrus, the school code is 8132. You will need to enter that number in your registration information when you begin your testing appointment.

Scheduling Your DSST™ Exam

DSST™ testing is by appointment only. Thus, you will need to schedule your exam through the Rowan-Cabarrus’ 测试中心. Please contact Kathy Hall (凯西.hall@oilbosscorp.com, 704-216-3468), Director of Assessment and Credit for Prior Learning, for appointments or further DSST™ questions.

Testing Accommodations

If you have testing accommodation needs due to a documented disability, you will need to review and complete Prometric’s ADA包 and submit that as indicated. Please call Prometric directly at 1-800-967-1139 to request a testing accommodation for your exam. Prometric will work directly with your identified testing location to provide approved accommodations.
