Comprehensive Articulation Agreement
The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between NC community colleges and NC public universities. It has the smooth transfer of students as its objective.

A uniform articulation agreement is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between NC community colleges and NC public universities. Its objective is the smooth transfer of students.
Bilateral Articulation Agreements
A bilateral articulation agreement is an agreement between Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and a specific public university.
Private Colleges & Universities
Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement
The Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (ICAA) between signatory institutions of the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) and the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) is intended to provide a smooth transfer for community college students who wish to continue their education at one of the NCICU institutions that have signed the agreement.
Independent Uniform Articulation Agreements
An independent uniform articulation agreement is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between NC community colleges and NC private universities and has as its objective the smooth transfer of students.
Bilateral Articulation Agreements
A bilateral articulation agreement is an agreement between Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and a specific independent (private) university. The details for each agreement are listed below by college or university.

Greater Charlotte Consortium
With Rowan-Cabarrus Community College being your home institution, the Greater Charlotte Consortium allows students to take a class at another institution on the rare occasion when the class is not offered at our college.
UNCC 49erNext
49erNext is a guaranteed admission program for select community college students who plan to transfer to UNC Charlotte to pursue a bachelor’s degree. 49erNext students are guaranteed admission at UNC Charlotte after completing an eligible associate degree with the required GPA.
UNCW PathWays Program
The PathWays program will provide guaranteed access for students transferring between the North Carolina Community College System and the UNCW System. It is a pathway for guaranteed transfer admission to UNCW for students completing an AA, AS, AE, AATP, ASTP, or AFA from a North Carolina Community College.
